Slough Explorers Celebrate The Queen’s 90th Birthday!

PJ and Steph from Slough Explorers visited Windsor on Thursday 21st April to Celebrate the Queens Birthday representing the Scout Association.

The pair were join by Izzabella, a Cub Scout from 21st Maidenhead, as the Queen, the patron of the Scout Association wrote a letter, in the week leading to her birthday, that was sent to Gilwell Park to mark the Cubs Scouts 100th Birthday.

The three were close enough to see the Queen but it was Prince Philip who spoke to them talking about the letter and asking where the three were from.

“The atmosphere in Windsor was amazing, the amount of people to join the crowds in the town show how much respect the Queen has. We all cheered and join in numerous renditions of Happy Birthday” said PJ.

The three of them were interviewed by lots of press, including going live on BBC One’s coverage of the Queen’s 90th Birthday.
